Countryside Day
Gates open at 10.00am with the first race at 1.15pm. The last race is at 4.05pm.
One of the most popular days of the season, Friday at The Open is Countryside Day with its unique country fair atmosphere and a range of displays and demonstrations covering many equine and other country pursuits. The Thoroughbred Breeders Association stages the ever-popular National Hunt Stallion display on this day.
There are six high quality races, with the feature event being the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase, over the twists and turns of our unique cross country course. This day will also raise significant sums of money for both The Countryside Alliance and the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled Association, which is based here at the racecourse. After racing there is a Brightwells Bloodstock Sale, to which all are welcome. For more information on the sale, click here.
Our local media partner on Countryside Day is Cotswold Life.
