The Showcase
Gates open at 12pm on both days. The first race is at 2.10pm on Friday and 2.00pm on Saturday. The last race is at 5.40pm on Friday and 5.30pm on Saturday.
The chance to combine brilliant racing with the opportunity to find out more about how racing operates. Our first fixture of the season sees the leading jockeys and trainers return to Jump racing's most famous arena. The Showcase features seven highly competitive races each day and also offers the chance to see, hear about and particpate in some of the aspects of racing that are normally off-limits. The weighing room and parade ring will be open to the public before racing and there will be chances to win some wonderful racing experiences, such as presenting a trophy or watching a race in the commentary.
Download your own copy of The Showcase timetable here and bring it with you. Please note that the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre display on Saturday is from 1pm to 1.30pm.
Saturday's card in 2011 saw Balthazar King winning here, before going on to victory at The Festival in March, which underlines the quality of the racing at this fixture.
Shortly after the final race on Saturday, The Greatwood Charity Race takes place, at approximately 5.50pm. This is a flat race over 1m5f with up to 12 jockeys going all out to raise funds for Greatwood's work with retired racehorses.
We will also be showing the Qipco Champion Stakes from Ascot at 4.05 on Saturday, featuring the last ever run of the great Frankel.
NOTE - Thank you to all of our racegoers who contibuted so generously to the bucket collection in aid of Cheltenham Samaritans on Saturday. In excess of £3,500 was raised. Find out out more here
