• From 2015, racegoers will be able to attend QIPCO British Champions Day and Cheltenham's Showcase meeting on consecutive Saturdays
• Cheltenham’s Showcase Saturday to be broadcast live on Channel 4
• Old Roan Chase at Aintree to run on a Sunday as part of the overall changes

OLBG to sponsor upgraded Mares’ Hurdle at The Festival for a further five years 22nd July 2014

Cheltenham Racecourse is delighted to announce that OLBG.com is to sponsor the Mares’ Hurdle (for the David Nicholson Trophy) at The Festival for a further five years. It was revealed today by the British Horseracing Authority that the prestigious contest has been upgraded to Grade One level.

Removal of historic statues to safe storage to mark the beginning of the £45 million new grandstand redevelopment 29th March 2014

At the beginning of this week, Kier started work on the new Grandstand Development at Cheltenham Racecourse, which will be completed in readiness for the 2016 Festival. Before the construction started, the Arkle, Best Mate, Dawn Run and Golden Miller statues were removed from Cheltenham Racecourse to ensure their safety during building works.
