Bailey in no rush on Topper plan11th February 2013

Kim Bailey remains cautious about whether his star novice chaser Harry Topper will head to the Cheltenham Festival.

The highly-rated gelding made it three out of three over fences when eventually pulling away in the Bathwick Tyres Taunton Graduation Chase at Exeter on Sunday, and though bookmakers shortened the six-year-old for next month's John Oaksey National Hunt Chase, his trainer does regard him as a prospect to look after.

Bailey wrote on his website blog: "HT is just weak, immature and still learning about the job. A great result for his owners Tony Solomons, who has been a very long time and loyal supporter and David Keyte who bred Harry."
