Carberry gives up Navan rides19th February 2013

Paul Carberry gave up his five rides at Navan this afternoon after suffering a facial injury when riding work on Monday.

Carberry was riding an unraced horse at trainer Noel Meade's yard when his mount reared over, leaving the jockey with a cut face.

"He was riding a breaker yesterday and the horse reared over. Paul had to have eight stitches in his face," said the County Meath handler.
