Injury boost for Popham25th October 2012
Ian Popham has received some welcome good news for a change after finding out his broken pelvis may not require an operation.
The promising conditional jockey was unshipped from the Martin Keighley-trained Oyster Hill on the way to the start for the bumper at Plumpton on Monday and x-rays revealed he had broken his pelvis for a second time in just over 12 months.
Having initially been told he required further surgery, Keighley has now been informed that he may not going under the knife.
