McCoy strikes for Mullins24th February 2013
Tony McCoy teamed up with record-breaking trainer Willie Mullins when steering Upsie to victory in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet 1800 721 821 Maiden Hurdle at Naas.
The JP McManus-owned mare was 4-7 to make a winning debut over jumps, but success was not without a scare as she almost went through the wing after the third-last when hampered and about to be asked for an effort.
McCoy got the dual French bumper winner back on an even keel and brought the five-year-old to lead just before the final flight, going on to score by three and three-quarter lengths from Aerlite Supreme, with Toubaloo just behind in third.
