New Year's resolution for Danedream24th October 2012

Danedream faces her D-Day on January 1 when she will be tested again for equine infectious anemia (EIA).

A horse tested positive for EIA, also known as swamp fever, at Cologne racecourse, where Danedream was being trained for a defence of her Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe title.

Because of the contagious nature of the disease all horses stable at Cologne, over 300 of them, were placed into quarantine and barred from moving for three months. If she tests negative for the ailment a decision then needs to be taken by her connections whether or not she stays in training, with a trip to the Dubai Carnival in the offing if she does.
