Wolves stewards get Carter22nd January 2013
Jockey Adam Carter was banned for 10 days over his handling of Faffa in a six-furlong contest at Wolverhampton on Tuesday evening.
The Tim Easterby-trained three-year-old (7-2) finished third in the four-runner bookmakers.co.uk Gives You Free Bets Handicap, which was won by Roland.
Wolverhampton's stewards felt Carter failed "to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing", and hit the 5lb claimer with the lengthy suspension. He will be banned between February 5 and 14.
