Tickets Terms and Conditions

Arrival
Even on relatively quiet days traffic can build up so it makes sense to arrive in good time. There is always plenty to see before racing with Trade Stands, the Hall of Fame, interviews in the paddock and other entertainments.

Traffic Information
Traffic information is available by phoning 09003 401454. Calls cost 60p per minute at all times. Automobile Association Developments Limited, Norfolk House, Priestley Road, Basingstoke RG22 9NY

Dress
There is no dress code - we recommend racegoers dress for the weather.

Badge and Ticket Availability
Except for Gold Cup Day and subject to availability, tickets can be bought at the entrances.

Disabled Racegoers
Car park staff are briefed to park those cars displaying a disabled badge as close as possible to the entrances. Within the enclosures, there is a wheelchair viewing area in the paddock and there are race viewing areas with wheelchair access.

Dogs
Dogs are not welcome within the enclosures other than Guide Dogs. If you are leaving a dog in your car, please allow plenty of air.

Children
Except at The Festival, when children of school age and over are charged full rates, those under 16 are very welcome and will be admitted free.

Racecards
Official racecards cost £3 (£2.50 in advance). You are recommended only to buy cards from official sales points.

Upgrades
Except at The Festival, The Open Saturday and The Boylesports International Saturday, Club and Tattersalls are combined. Those in 'Best Mate’ can buy an upgrade into that area. On The Open Saturday, The Boylesports International Saturday and the first three days of The Festival, racegoers can also upgrade from Tattersalls to Club. Upgrades are not available on Gold Cup Day.

Meeting Points
We refer to the entrances as North (near the paddock), the Centaur and Hall of Fame. Inside the enclosures, the statues of Arkle, Dawn Run, Best Mate and Golden Miller make good meeting places.

Left Luggage
There is a left luggage office above the Betting Hall with access for everyone in Club and Tattersalls. You are asked to reclaim your bag within an hour after the last race. Additional facilities are provided at The Festival in the Hall of Fame and Best Mate enclosure.

Visiting the Gallops
In November and March, those with a Club badge for the day may visit the gallops between 7.30 and 8.30am.

Walking the Course
In the interests of providing the best possible ground for the horses, the only people allowed to walk around the course at The Festival are the "connections" of runners. At other meetings, depending on weather and ground conditions, racegoers in Club may have access before racing.

Totepool Betting
There are totepool betting points situated in every enclosure at Cheltenham. The minimum bet is £2, except in Club and Tattersalls at The Festival when it is £5. You can use your credit or debit card to buy totepool betting vouchers that can be used at any meeting. They are available in £2, £5, £10 and £20 denominations. To order totepool betting vouchers in advance call 020 8874 6411 or you can buy them at Cheltenham on racedays.

No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of the racecourse buildings, viewing seats or temporary structures.

Lost Property
If you lose or find something call at the Police Office in the Centaur foyer or, at The Open and The Festival, in the Best Mate enclosure.

Photography
You may use a camera from the normal public enclosures. However, please be careful that a flash bulb is never used. This can frighten the horses.

First Aid
First Aid staff are on duty. At The Open and The Festival, a pharmacy is available behind the Grandstand.

Despatch by Post
All tickets for The Festival are despatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery for which there is a £4 charge. For all other meetings, the customer will have the choice of either selecting 2nd class Royal Mail or Royal Mail Special Delivery for which there is a £4 charge. Cheltenham Racecourse does not accept liability for any 'lost in post’ claims.

Refunds
Full refunds for tickets will be given if racing is abandoned before the first race. A 50% refund will be given if racing is abandoned before the third race. No cash refunds will be given on the day. Applications for refunds should be sent by post within one month after the fixture except for tickets purchased in advance where refunds will be processed automatically. No refunds will be given for tickets that are purchased and then not required or used.
